Motivation
Do you like a good challenge? How do you feel when you are challenged? What or who motivates you? What do you think of when you hear the term “Motivation”. For me, motivation comes in different elements.
For example, when I go on a morning or evening run, I love to get out in the fresh air. From time to time, I receive a little smile from random people I pass by. A smile and a look as if to say; well done, your running, good to see and keep going. This is something that makes me smile. A little nudge of encouragement.
It would be true to say, we all need that from time to time. No one person is invincible. But having the drive and determination to keep going is a key factor. Following this, one word to think of here is Progress. Keep going. You are moving, even if it doesn’t seem like it to you.
Set a goal
We all have goals, we all have passions. Some may voice it out loud to others, while others keep quiet and say nothing at all. We all have aspirations and dreams. Part of this is to enjoy the journey along the way. It may not always be plain sailing, there are bound to be rocky bumps and loop holes along the way. It is how you deal with getting around those rocky bumps, of how you strategize your steps. The first step is to touch your goal mentally in order to touch it physically. To note; this can only be achieved if you have a strong will and passion to achieve this goal.
Visualise your goal
To achieve your goal, Visualisation is a helpful process to help you along the way. For me the visualisation process is framing the picture. It must be a certain goal I am aiming to achieve. It must be a goal that fits well with me, it must be a realistic goal I feel I can achieve, while also still proving a challenge. When these factors are determined, I will then move on to the next stage of the visualisation process.
Take Action
What steps and processes need to be done in order to achieve this goal? What research do I need to do that will help me along the way? Do I need extra help from anyone else? Are there other sources I feel may help me here? It is important to keep focused and keep your eye on the ball.
To lightly finish off, having an insight and awareness of what you want to achieve makes it a whole lot easier. It is to enjoy the journey and process along the way. Progress-Process. Once the want is there. The determination. The drive. The Ambition – Place it. Frame it. Mentally touch it. To achieve the final step in the visualisation process is to physically touch it. Once these steps are in place, it is an amazing feeling once the visualisation process has been completed and ultimately your goal is achieved.
Now I notice at times when I am walking to work, I see random people on their morning runs, I smile at them as if to say; Keep going, well done. Pass it on.
